A large dining table in 100% solid walnut with a sculptural tulip-style base — a single central pedestal that flares upward and outward like the flower it takes its name from. The tulip form solves the oldest problem in dining tables: with one central support there is no corner leg for anyone to sit against, at any seat around the table.
Available Sizes
- 39" × 78", 82", 86", 92", 95", 98"
- 43" × 102", 106", 110", 115"
- 47" × 120", 130"
Specifications
- Material: Premium solid walnut — no veneers, no MDF
- Top: Edge-glued solid walnut with smooth rounded edges
- Base: Sculptural wooden tulip legs
- Stability: Reinforced with a black metal disk base
- Finish: Natural oil and wax
What Edge-Gluing Actually Is
No walnut board is 47 inches wide, so a top of that size is built by joining several boards along their length. Edge-gluing is that process done properly: the boards are matched for color and grain, their edges machined to meet without a gap, and glued under pressure so the joint is stronger than the surrounding timber. Done well, the result is a single flat surface where the joints are difficult to find by eye — and far more stable than one enormous board would ever be.
The Hidden Metal Disk
A wooden pedestal carrying a ten-foot top needs more than timber joinery at its foot. A black metal disk base is built into the underside, giving the weight distribution and rigidity the span requires while remaining invisible in normal use.
Oil and Wax Finish
Natural oil and wax rather than a lacquer film. It leaves the walnut tactile, deepens the color over time, and — importantly for a dining table — can be repaired locally when a mark appears rather than requiring the whole surface to be stripped.
Production and Shipping
Made to order. Allow 3–5 weeks for production and delivery. Free FedEx shipping to every U.S. state.
Is the top one piece of wood?
No, and deliberately so. It is edge-glued from matched solid walnut boards, which is both more stable and more consistent in appearance than a single slab at this width.
Is a pedestal stable on a table this long?
Yes. The tulip base is reinforced with an internal metal disk sized to the top it carries.
Can I request a custom size?
Yes. Sizes beyond the list are produced to order.

🧼 Care & Use Guide for Epoxy and Wood Products
- Especially for pnes with clear epoxy, protect from direct sunlight
- Avoid chemical cleaners. Use a slightly damp cloth for regular cleaning. For fingerprints or stains, you can use glass cleaner or vinegar water. If food spills, gently wipe the area. Leave oily spots if they don’t come off easily — the wood will absorb the oil, and it won’t be damaged.
- To preserve the wood’s color, shine, and durability, apply natural wood oils regularly (2-3 years). They nourish and protect the surface.
- Extreme heat and moisture can damage both wood and epoxy. Never place hot items like teapots or pans directly on the surface — always use a heat-resistant mat.
- When moving or assembling large, heavy pieces, take your time and ask for help to avoid damage.
