A dining chair in the Italian tradition — generous proportions, a pronounced curve through the back and arms, and solid walnut throughout. Italian chair design tends toward presence rather than minimalism, and this one is built accordingly: heavier in section than a Scandinavian chair, with more sculptural movement in its lines.
Finish Options
- Natural — the full depth of the walnut grain
- Black — turning the silhouette graphic
- Coffee — a warm, softened mid-tone
Solid Walnut
Handcrafted from natural solid walnut, chosen for its density and the way it takes a finish. Walnut is the traditional Italian furniture timber for exactly this reason — it holds carved and curved detail without chipping, and it deepens in color over decades rather than fading.
Where the Extra Cost Goes
A chair with curves in more than one plane cannot be built from straight stock. Each curved component has to be cut from thicker material with the grain oriented to follow the curve, which wastes a substantial amount of timber and takes far longer at the bench. That is what separates this from a chair of similar appearance built from steam-bent or laminated parts.
Production and Delivery
Every chair is made to order, with a production period of approximately 45 days. If chairs are in stock, immediate delivery is available.
Why does this take 45 days?
The curved components are cut and shaped individually from solid stock rather than bent or laminated, which is slower but produces a stronger and more durable chair.
Can I order a set?
Yes. Sets are produced together to the same specification; natural grain will still vary between chairs.
Is a custom finish possible?
Yes. Beyond the three standard options, custom colors can be specified.

🧼 Care & Use Guide for Epoxy and Wood Products
- Especially for pnes with clear epoxy, protect from direct sunlight
- Avoid chemical cleaners. Use a slightly damp cloth for regular cleaning. For fingerprints or stains, you can use glass cleaner or vinegar water. If food spills, gently wipe the area. Leave oily spots if they don’t come off easily — the wood will absorb the oil, and it won’t be damaged.
- To preserve the wood’s color, shine, and durability, apply natural wood oils regularly (2-3 years). They nourish and protect the surface.
- Extreme heat and moisture can damage both wood and epoxy. Never place hot items like teapots or pans directly on the surface — always use a heat-resistant mat.
- When moving or assembling large, heavy pieces, take your time and ask for help to avoid damage.
