A live-edge dining table in premium walnut with an epoxy resin river, available in seven sizes up to 43 by 113 inches. Walnut is the classic timber for this design and for good reason — its dark, richly variegated grain gives maximum contrast against a resin channel, which is what makes a river table read clearly from across a room rather than blending into itself.
Available Sizes
- 35" × 70" — seats 6
- 39" × 78" — seats 6 to 8
- 39" × 86" — seats 8
- 39" × 90" — seats 8 to 10
- 43" × 98" — seats 10
- 43" × 106" — seats 10 to 12
- 43" × 113" — seats 12
Options
- Leg finish: black, gold, silver or original walnut
- Resin color: smoke, clear or black
How the River Is Formed
Two slabs are positioned with their natural outer edges facing each other, and the resin is poured into the gap between them. The channel therefore takes the shape the tree grew — widening where the trunk flared, narrowing where it ran straight. The resin also fills the voids and fissures within each slab, which is what makes an otherwise unusable board structurally sound.
Durability
The resin does more than decorate. It seals the wood against moisture at its most vulnerable points — the open end grain and natural cracks — and adds considerable rigidity across the width of the top. Properly made, a river table is more stable than the same slabs would be alone.
Care
Clean with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which will dull the resin permanently. Use mats under hot dishes and keep the table out of sustained direct sunlight.
Order Process
- Select size and finish.
- Collaborate with the designer on any customization.
- Receive progress photographs during production.
- Approve the finished table before shipping.
Production and Shipping
Custom orders take 4–7 weeks. Free shipping to all U.S. states, 2–5 business days after production.
Will my river look like the photographs?
The technique and your chosen resin color will match. The shape of the river follows your slabs' live edges and is unique to your table.
Which resin color gives the most contrast?
Clear reads as depth and lets the walnut dominate; black creates the sharpest graphic contrast; smoke sits between the two.
Is a river table suitable for daily family use?
Yes. The resin seals and reinforces the timber. Normal care — mats under hot items, no abrasive cleaners — is all it needs.

🧼 Care & Use Guide for Epoxy and Wood Products
- Especially for pnes with clear epoxy, protect from direct sunlight
- Avoid chemical cleaners. Use a slightly damp cloth for regular cleaning. For fingerprints or stains, you can use glass cleaner or vinegar water. If food spills, gently wipe the area. Leave oily spots if they don’t come off easily — the wood will absorb the oil, and it won’t be damaged.
- To preserve the wood’s color, shine, and durability, apply natural wood oils regularly (2-3 years). They nourish and protect the surface.
- Extreme heat and moisture can damage both wood and epoxy. Never place hot items like teapots or pans directly on the surface — always use a heat-resistant mat.
- When moving or assembling large, heavy pieces, take your time and ask for help to avoid damage.
