A round coffee table built from a raw olive wood slab set beneath a crystal-clear glass top. The glass is the whole idea: it gives a completely flat, usable surface while leaving the olive wood entirely untouched beneath it — every knot, void and irregular contour preserved and visible, with nothing filled, sanded flat or cut away.

Why Olive Wood Under Glass
Olive is among the most dramatically figured timbers there is — dense, wildly patterned, full of contrasting streaks — but it is also knotty, irregular and full of voids, which makes it difficult to use as a flat surface. Most makers fill those voids with resin. Putting glass over the slab instead solves the problem without compromising the wood: you get a level surface and the timber stays exactly as it came off the tree.
Aged and Dried
The olive slabs are aged and carefully dried before use. Olive is prone to movement while it stabilizes, so this stage is not optional — an unseasoned olive slab will twist.
Stone-Inspired Legs
The legs are custom-designed with a mineral, cement-like character. Against the extreme figure of olive wood, a plain timber or metal leg would either disappear or compete; a stone-like form reads as a base the slab is resting on, which is closer to how the piece actually looks.
Production and Shipping
Custom orders take approximately 2–4 weeks — faster than our resin tables, since there is no curing stage. Shipped within 2–5 business days after production, carefully packaged. Free shipping across the United States.
Is the glass included?
Yes. The table is supplied with its glass top fitted to the slab.
Can the glass be removed for cleaning?
Tell us your preference when ordering and the fitting can be specified accordingly.
Will my slab look like the photographs?
No. Olive wood varies enormously from slab to slab — yours will have its own figure, knots and outline.

- Especially for pnes with clear epoxy, protect from direct sunlight
- Avoid chemical cleaners. Use a slightly damp cloth for regular cleaning. For fingerprints or stains, you can use glass cleaner or vinegar water. If food spills, gently wipe the area. Leave oily spots if they don’t come off easily — the wood will absorb the oil, and it won’t be damaged.
- To preserve the wood’s color, shine, and durability, apply natural wood oils regularly (2-3 years). They nourish and protect the surface.
- Extreme heat and moisture can damage both wood and epoxy. Never place hot items like teapots or pans directly on the surface — always use a heat-resistant mat.
- When moving or assembling large, heavy pieces, take your time and ask for help to avoid damage.
