A dining table built from a single piece of aged walnut — one continuous slab rather than boards joined together — on a stone-inspired decorative base. A one-piece top of this size is genuinely rare: it depends entirely on finding a tree wide enough, sound enough and dry enough, which is why the sizes offered start at 39 by 98 inches and why each table is unrepeatable.
Available Sizes
- 39" × 98"
- 43" × 102", 106", 108", 115", 120", 130", 134"
What One Piece Actually Means
Most large tables — including most described as solid wood — are edge-glued from several boards. This one is not. The top is a single slab, so the grain runs unbroken from one end to the other with no joint lines anywhere in the surface. It also means the natural edge, the color transitions and any figure in the timber are continuous across the whole table, which is impossible to reproduce in a glued-up top.
Stone-Inspired Base
The base is a decorative form with a mineral, quarried character. Against a single unbroken slab it works because it introduces no second grain pattern to compete with the top — the eye reads stone below and wood above, with nothing in between.
Wabi-Sabi Thinking
The design accepts the timber as it is. Knots, color variation, irregular edges and the marks of the tree's growth are kept rather than selected out. That is the wabi-sabi principle applied literally: the value is in the specific character of this piece of wood, not in achieving a uniform surface.
Customization
Choose any size from the list or contact us for other dimensions. Custom orders take approximately 4 weeks to build. If a table is in stock, it arrives in about 1 week.
Order Process
- Select your size and place the order.
- Work with the designer to choose the slab.
- Receive photographs and updates at every stage.
- Approve the finished table before it ships.
Production and Shipping
Approximately 4 weeks for custom orders, then 2–5 business days by FedEx within the U.S. Free shipping across the United States.
Is the top really one piece?
Yes. It is a single walnut slab with no joints in the surface, which is what distinguishes it from edge-glued tables of similar size.
Will there be knots and irregularities?
Yes, and intentionally so. Natural character is retained rather than removed; it is the basis of the design.
Can I choose my own slab?
Yes. Slab selection is done together with the designer before production begins.

🧼 Care & Use Guide for Epoxy and Wood Products
- Especially for pnes with clear epoxy, protect from direct sunlight
- Avoid chemical cleaners. Use a slightly damp cloth for regular cleaning. For fingerprints or stains, you can use glass cleaner or vinegar water. If food spills, gently wipe the area. Leave oily spots if they don’t come off easily — the wood will absorb the oil, and it won’t be damaged.
- To preserve the wood’s color, shine, and durability, apply natural wood oils regularly (2-3 years). They nourish and protect the surface.
- Extreme heat and moisture can damage both wood and epoxy. Never place hot items like teapots or pans directly on the surface — always use a heat-resistant mat.
- When moving or assembling large, heavy pieces, take your time and ask for help to avoid damage.
