A dining room sideboard with solid walnut doors set with resin in an open cellular pattern, on cast metal legs. The door fronts are the piece: rather than flat panels, they carry an irregular network of cells filled with resin, so the doors read as a screen of light and timber instead of a closed surface.
Dimensions
- Size: 20" D × 86.6" W × 34.2" H
- Custom sizes: available on request
Options
- Door resin color: Black, Dark Smoked, Clear or White
- Leg color: Black, Gold, Antiqued Brass or Rose Gold
The Cellular Door Pattern
The cells are irregular — no two the same size or shape — which is what stops the pattern reading as a machined grid. Each cell is cut through the solid walnut and filled with resin, so light passing through the door is broken into a scatter of individual points rather than a single wash. A clear resin makes the effect most visible; black or dark smoked turns the pattern into a graphic relief instead.
Construction
The doors are solid walnut with resin. Other parts of the carcass are veneered, which is a deliberate choice rather than a cost saving — a cabinet of this length built entirely in solid timber would move seasonally across its width, while a veneered carcass over a stable core stays dimensionally true. The solid wood goes where it is seen and handled.
Storage
Hidden compartments behind the doors are sized for dining room ware — serving dishes, linen, glassware — so the cellular fronts conceal rather than display what is inside.
Mix and Match
Legs can be changed to any of our other designs on request. Wood options beyond walnut are also available.
Production and Shipping
Custom orders take approximately 5 weeks. In-stock items are delivered within 1 week. Free shipping, packed in durable crates.
Can I see through the doors?
With clear resin, light passes through but the contents are not legible. Black, dark smoked and white are effectively opaque.
Why are only the doors solid wood?
Solid timber at this length would move with seasonal humidity. Veneer over a stable core keeps the carcass true while the solid walnut goes where it is seen.
Can the size be changed?
Yes. Custom dimensions are available — contact us with your requirements.

🧼 Care & Use Guide for Epoxy and Wood Products
- Especially for pnes with clear epoxy, protect from direct sunlight
- Avoid chemical cleaners. Use a slightly damp cloth for regular cleaning. For fingerprints or stains, you can use glass cleaner or vinegar water. If food spills, gently wipe the area. Leave oily spots if they don’t come off easily — the wood will absorb the oil, and it won’t be damaged.
- To preserve the wood’s color, shine, and durability, apply natural wood oils regularly (2-3 years). They nourish and protect the surface.
- Extreme heat and moisture can damage both wood and epoxy. Never place hot items like teapots or pans directly on the surface — always use a heat-resistant mat.
- When moving or assembling large, heavy pieces, take your time and ask for help to avoid damage.
